Week 49 Menu

Greetings from babyland...my in-laws have been here all week and leave tomorrow...I think we're all going to be in a little shock this week without doting, helpful grandparents around! Needless to say I'm feeling a bit apprehensive about the transition to real life, so my friends are stepping up to make sure I survive by bringing dinner all week. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! So, no plan yet again this week! But next week I'm going to have to come up with a menu...no more vacation from weekly planning.

This picture is proof of just how gourmet I am lately. Globs of frosting, ugly paper plates. Lovely. Actually, my mother-in-law and I couldn't wait for the cream cheese frosting to get soft, so we decided aesthetics are overrated. Martha would be so disappointed.

PLEASE SHARE YOUR MENUS!!!!! You need to inspire one another...the cupcakes are a pretty good indication of just how UN-inspiring I am lately. :)

Congratulations on the baby! She's a cutie and looks so precious in that picture. Being a new mom to a 6 month old, I admire anyone who cooks on a regular basis. I have managed to continue cooking myself and actually am enjoying it more now that ever. Perhaps that's because it's a nice (and much needed) break from the wild child! With that said, here's this week's menu:

Sunday: Vegetarian Chili (from this month's Southern Living, I think), crusty bread, fruit salad
**Since I've already had this, I can tell you that it was quite tasty.

Monday: Holly Hill Inn for New Year's Eve dinner!!! Whoppie an actual date night - these don't come along too often!

Tuesday: Spicy Meatballs with Angel Hair Pasta, salad, garlic bread

Wednesday: My loving mother will be cooking

Thursday: Crock-pot mexican casserole, cornbread muffins

Friday: sandwiches

Saturday: take-out from somewhere

Sunday: Shrimp lasagna rolls (from another blogger who got it from Giada's new cookbook), salad, bread

Here's my first ever weekly menu post....maybe it will be a trend for the new year:) Jane, Anna is beautiful. Her name is one that we've been considering if we have another girl (we find out tomorrow what we're having...yay!) Okay, so here's my menu:

Tuesday: ham & cheese casserole, rolls

Wednesday: Slower cooker enchiladas, spanish rice, corn

Thursday: Spaghetti and meatballs, salad

Friday: Left-overs

Saturday: slow cooker orange chicken, rice, broccoli

Sunday: bbq pork roast, beans, salad, rolls, and pie (the missionaries are coming for dinner--so it's a little more elaborate than my usual dinners :))
