Week 45 Menu

Every Saturday Cate and Nate go on a date to the bagel shop...it's so cute. Cate loves it. Yesterday they bought extras so we had them for breakfast this morning. I just wish we could have bagels for EVERY meal...it was so easy and the LAST thing I want to do right now is cook dinner (or any meal for that matter!). Less than 2 weeks until my mom is here. I CAN'T WAIT.

Here's an attempt at a menu...I'm trying to do things that are easy and generate lots of leftovers. Last week was so awesome. Thanksgiving leftovers galore = little cooking. I wish every week was the week after Thanksgiving! Well, maybe not, but it sure was a nice week. Anyway, my menu may not be so robust, but you ARE getting two new recipes this week...Tostada Goop & Easy Crock Pot Chicken. See, I'm not ALL bad in these last weeks of being prego...

MONDAY:
- Baked French Toast (this recipe rules)

TUESDAY:
- Debbie's Easy Crock Pot Chicken

WEDNESDAY:
- Leftovers

THURSDAY:
- Book Club...have to figure something out for Nate & Cate

FRIDAY:
- Going to December Nights at Balboa Park, where we'll sample all kinds of great food! If you live in San Diego and have never been to this event, GO!

SATURDAY:
- Christmas party...no cooking!

SUNDAY:
- Chicken Tostadas (see recipe for Tostada Goop)

Please share your menus! Anything goes...hot dogs, shrimp scampi, WHATEVER!

Monday: Eat out with friends

Tuesday: Pizza Party with some classmates

Wednesday: Breakfast for dinner--scrambled eggs and potato pancakes

Thursday: Spicy Chicken strips and cheese noodles

Friday: Broccoli and chicken pasta

Saturday: Eat out? Or to each their own!

**I'm getting excited for you Jane! Good luck!

I have not thought about an actual menu in SO LONG!
As for the bagels all the time...you could always do pizza bagels with a side salad for dinner or pizza bagels with soup. I LOVE bagels...we get them by the dozen and freeze them individually. They work great as teethers for little ones new to solids and teeth!

Sunday
Chili- if I ever get around to it!

Monday
Probably pasta in a simple red sauce, possibly a spicy chili like red sauce.

Tuesday
Not sure...we're picking up our new car so dinner may be out or at grandma's

Wednesday
Definitely at grandma's for dinner- decorating their Christmas tree! YAY!

Thursday
At grandma's again...do we sense a theme??

Friday
Simple and Easy...pizza bagels maybe?? Prepping for our party the next night!

Saturday
Christmas Party at our house
Appetizers and more appetizers
I'm trying out a whole new bunch of recipes. Maybe not the best idea but we'll see! I may have some yummy ones to share!!

Sorry it's so sparse...Christmas is coming, so is cookie baking!!

I have to say I love your blog filled with so many creative ideas. I found it searching the net. I'm pregnant (like you) and due Dec. 26th- my body just want to lounge around these days and my hubby and I are both in finals week so we'll probably be scrounging around for whatever food we have around the house. And somehow... that's ok with me. :o) Thanks for posting.

Meet Cate.

See Cate and Nate.

Cate and Nate are on a date.

You should write children's books as well as tasty blogs.

We were stalking you guys at the sing-along last night. Looked like Cate was having a great time.

she had fun last night...didn't pay much attention, but she found lots of slugs to look at. :)
