Week 42 Menu

Thanksgiving is less than 2 weeks away! This week will be Thanksgiving Prep Week on TWFD...get ready for tips and recipes, and please plan on sharing your own!


I can't believe the number of comments on the Ice Milk post...you people were seriously cracking me up. I'll try to get controversial more often!

Here's the menu for this week. Please share you menus - they're usually better than mine! :)

MONDAY:
The following meal is one that Cate loves...she'll eat it all, which happens so rarely these days!
- Baked Stuffing-Coated Chicken (so easy, click for recipe)
- Wild & Long Grain Rice
- Carrots

TUESDAY:
- Beef Stew

WEDNESDAY:
- Mac & Cheese
- Salad
- Bread

THURSDAY:
- Leftovers

FRIDAY:
- Pizza (I've been making this a lot lately with the TJs pizza crust...it's just so easy and fast. But I'm going to try to think of something else for Friday, but this is a filler just in case)

SATURDAY:
- Eat out

SUNDAY:
- Chicken Piccata
- Mashed potatoes
- Veggie

    -Spanish Rice

    Tuesday:
    -Lentil Soup (your recipe Jane!)
    -Biscuits? Bread? Something?

    Wednesday:
    -Penne with Zucchini & Feta
    -Salad

    Thursday:
    -Beef & Broccoli
    -Brown Rice

    Friday:
    -Make pizza or eat out

    Leftovers (lots to choose from!)

    Tuesday:
    Spaghetti
    Salad

    Wednesday:
    Shrimp Tacos
    Homemade salsa & guac

    Thursday:
    Potato soup
    Fresh bread
    carrot sticks

    Friday:
    Marinated chicken
    Stir-fry veggies
    brown rice

    Saturday:
    Homemade Pizza or maybe pancakes?
    (not exactly sure on that one yet)

  4. Short week--yay for road trips (although I'm sure I won't be saying that after 12 hours in the car with 2 kids.)

    Sunday--Roast chicken-crock pot style, mashed potatoes, zucchini

    Monday--Chicken noodle soup, rolls, salad

    Tuesday--Pork chops, Couscous, vege

    Wed.--Pasta with red sauce, salad

    Thurs--Leftovers--clean out the fridge

    Friday--on the road

    Sat--friend's house

    -Stuffed peppers
    -Mashed potatoes

    Tuesday:
    -Italian chicken
    -Wild rice
    -Broccoli
    -Crescent rolls

    Wednesday:
    -Book club at P.F. Chang's (lettuce wraps, perhaps?)

    Thursday:
    -Knitting club at my place, so I'm making a Middle Eastern platter (olives, feta cheese, hummus, pita bread, and veggies)

    Friday:
    -Pizza
    -Tossed salad

    Saturday:
    -Eat out

    Sunday:
    -Don't know yet...I need suggestions!

    ellen - thanks! the farm that I talked about I think on the week 38 menu is where I got all these cute pumpkins and gourds...it's the closest to wilson farm as we're gonna get! :)

    ~Steamed Broccoli/Carrots

    Saturday:
    ~Southwestern Stuffed Peppers
    ~Chips and Salsa Again??

    Sunday:
    ~Chilaquiles (fancy for Mexican egg and cheese scramble)
    ~Black Beans
