The Goods: Trader Joe's Hawaiian Potato Chips

With the due date just over 2 weeks away, my desire to cook has decreased dramatically. The desire to eat, however, is as normal as ever. :) I haven't really had a lot of cravings (if any)...but I can't get enough of these potato chips from Trader Joe's. Seriously, I eat sandwiches for lunch every day just so I have a reason to eat the chips (I've been able to resist eating them straight out of the bag, amazingly). ANYWAY...just thought I'd let you know these are GOOD. The weirdest part is I couldn't STAND these chips the first trimester. Go figure.

On a pregnancy-related note...I AM craving the smell of ink. You know, really "yummy" ink that smells so good in some paperbacks, newspapers and coupons (like the value pack coupons)? I just finished a paperback that I honestly would have rather just smelled than read. Don't get me wrong, it was a great book, but it just smelled soooo good. Sniff sniff. Baby better come quick before I get too crazy.

My sister in law put me onto this site, it is such a great idea. I may able to offer some more variety to your menu's. I live in australia. We seem to have alot more asian and european influences in our food. My menu for this week is:

Monday: Soy Fish with Egg Noodles
Tuesday: Veal with Cranberry and apple relish and salad.
Wednesday: Moroccan Lamb with Fattoush
Thursday: Vegetable Fritatta
Friday: Lamb, Pine nut and Haloumi Fusilli
Saturday: Lemon Garlic skewers with lentils
Sunday: Japanese chicken and cabbage pancakes.

It sounds a bit different to waht everyone else is posting, but i think its good to try something new.

that's enough to make me want to move to Australia...

I have noticed actually that australia tends to be more about freshness, and America tends to be more about pre-prepared and packaged.

for instance, i make my own sauces and dressings about 50% of the time, instead of using them from a bottle i will use once or twice and then sit in the fridge until it goes off. There seems to be less waste. and i only buy what i need.

Hey- I too am a couple weeks away from my due date... and I crave the thin and crispy potato chips BBQ flavored. Infact, I just ate a bowl of cereal for breakfast and now I'm munching on some fabulous BBQ chips. Only bad thing, I almost ate the whole bag last night and I have to wait til tomorrow to buy more!!! Hopefully I go in early and the craving will stop! Take Care, Gina
