Week 22 Menu

This week there are a lot of "cravings" popping up on my menu. Kinda funny...I never think I have them when I'm pregnant, but here they are all over my menu! I gotta say, if I didn't have medicine to help with my sickness, none of these cravings would be possible. Thank goodness for modern medicine b/c I ate the yummiest ribs ever last night...Nate wanted to go to Phil's BBQ for his birthday, and boy am I glad he did. But now all I can do is think about going back and eating more RIBS!! So, I think we're going to have to...and I'll do a nice Phil's post later this week!

PS - Only 2 menus posted last week...come on people, do your homework! Share your menus! :)

MONDAY:
- Orange chicken (it's like the Trader Joe's frozen mandarin chicken, but from Costco...will let you know how it is!)
- Egg rolls

TUESDAY:
- Chicken Marsala (TJ's simmer sauce - Nate's sick of this, but it sounds alright to me right now and I have it in the cupboard...so, too bad!)
- Pasta
- Veggie

WEDNESDAY:
- Phil's BBQ! Bring on the ribs and unhealthy side dishes!!

THURSDAY:
- Beef Stroganoff
- Egg noodles (I want egg noodles! That's craving #2 of the week)


FRIDAY:
- Leftovers

SATURDAY:
- ????

SUNDAY:
- Main dish TBD...all I know is I want...
- TWICE BAKED POTATOES...I don't care what we have with them. That makes craving #3! :)

I've had a really busy weekend and haven't even gotten to the store yet. After looking through the freezer & pantry I threw this list together. Now I just need a quick shopping trip tomorrow.

Monday:
-Brown Rice & Andouille Jambalaya
-Kidney beans
-salad

Tuesday:
-Baked Black Bean Flautas w/ Tomatilla-Avocado Sauce
-Mexican rice with veggies

Wednesday:
-Caesar Turkey Burgers
-Roasted Zucchini with thyme

Thursday:
-Spaghetti with vegetable marinara
-Salad

Monday:
Orange Chicken, White Rice and Snap
Peas (My attempt at Cheesecake Factory version)

Tuesday:
Meatloaf!!!! Yeah can't wait to try out one of those yummy recipes.:)
& Salad

Wednesday:
Leftovers ...mutual night

Thursday:
BBQ hot dogs and baked beans

Friday & Sat : perhaps grilled sourdough cheese sandwhiches with yummy pasta salad

Sunday : Small pot roast.

(this is like the only meal my son will eat)

Tuesday:
Grilled Pork Chops
glazed carrots
orzo pasta

Wednesday:
hot dogs
fruit kebabs
smores (with coconut marshmallows and mounds bars. AMAZING)

Thursday:
spaghetti
french bread

Friday:
leftovers

Saturday:
stuffed french toast

Sunday:
chicken caesar pitas
steamed veggies

My 1st post too.. I'm hoping this makes my shopping more efficient..

Mon- turkey meatloaf, mashed red potatoes, corn, fruit

Tues- Grilled chicken, lemon rice, salad

Wed- cobb salad

Thurs- leftovers

Fri- baked tortellini, fruit salad, bread

Saturday- cook out with family

Sunday-- too far away to decide

We ate at a friend's house, but I baked a peach pie

OK Jane,
I am going to try your menu planning thing. I used to have a system where Monday was Mexican, Tuesday was Italian, etc. but it died.

Monday:
Chicken and vegetable curry with rice

Tuesday:
Spaghetti bolognaise with sautéed zucchini and onions and garlic bread.

Wednesday:
BBQ chicken, baked potatoes and carrots.

Thursday:
Quiche (kale and green onions and herbs from the CSA) with a salad.

Friday:
Out to dinner

Saturday:
Pizza and Salad.

Sunday:
British Sunday lunch: Roasted chicken, vegetables, potatoes and Yorkshire puddings if there is time.

grilled burgers on english muffins

pasta salad

Thursday:
Chicken casserole (w/ the leftover chicken from Tuesday)
salad & fresh fruit

Friday:
Taco Salad w/ homemade salsa & guac

Saturday:
BLTs
carrot sticks
smoothies

Sunday:
Real Simple lasagna (I'd like to try this one in the slow cooker... too hot for the oven..holler if anyone's put it in the crock pot)
