Ah, Paris!

Right now I am sitting in my Paris apartment munching on French cookies...

...and gazing at the Eiffel Tower. Is this really my life? I don't believe it.

Paris is unbelievable. I honestly think it is safe to call it the most beautiful city in the world, with more to do than one can imagine. 1 week is simply not enough time. Our apartment is literally steps from the Louvre, Musée D'Orsay & the Seine. I could live here forever, well except that I might end up with brain damage from multiple concussions due to the mansard roof. I have much to report on and oodles of deliciously French food to share with you. Until then, help yourself to some baguette, viennoise and pain au chocolat.

I love your blog! And YES, Paris is the most beautiful city in the world! I've been there 3 separate times and I seriously miss it. I could live there forever quite happily! Have a wonderful time and don't miss the Musee D'Orsay. . . it's my favorite museum in Paris! Gorgeous!

i'm pretty sure mikado are japanese biscuits...

mikado is japanese, but LU is a french company...it's their "japanese cookie" but it's really french...they're really good, the chocolate has bits of hazelnut mixed in (which the europeans seem to put in ALL their chocolate). yum!

thanks for all your nice comments and I'm happy you're happy I'm paris, even if I am sparking a bit of envy out there! :) I'll definitely eat a pastry for each and every one of you.

That may be the closest I ever get to the Eiffel Tower. I'm hoping to get much closer to pain au chocolat!

stella - I hope you can get closer than that one day! :)

so, I got curious about the mikado thing...nate did a little research...so, mikado is a japanese word for emperor, but it is actually an old european pick-up-sticks-type game, hence the shape of the biscuit. very interesting! :)

I just bought those chocolate sticks two days ago and have been consuming them non-stop since. Oh how I would love to be eating them in Paris.
