A blog by mom/graphic designer, Jane Maynard, with the best husband and daughters in the world who tries to cook dinner daily and couldn't do it without Trader Joe's.
Sorry, the above deleted comment was from me -- I had accidentally logged in as my husband!
Anyway, here goes -- Monday: Chicken simmered in Cuban Mojito sauce over rice and black beans
Tuesday: Traditional Austrian Cheese soup (a potato/leek soup) Rhodes Rolls
Wednesday: leftovers
Thursday: Orange glazed lamb chops over jasmine rice with peas
Friday: Pancakes topped with strawberries, strawberry glaze and whipped cream scrambled eggs (my 4-year-old thought up this meal idea all by himself -- I though it sounded great!)
Saturday: fasting corndogs or chicken nuggets for the kids
Sunday: Maple salmon over quinoa Spinach, cranberry and almond salad
Alice and anyone else who wants the recipe, here it is
1/2 c chopped onion 1 T margarine 4 cups water 4 t beef bullion 1 to 2 t worchestershire sauce 1 t soy sauce 1 1/2 to 2 T horseradish 1 1/2 lbs roast beef *see note below
In large pan cook onion in margarine until tender. Stir in water, bullion, worchestershire, soy sauce and horseradish. Heat until bullion dissolves and is heated thru. Add beef and heat thru. Serve with french bread and broth.
*The recipe calls for 1 1/2 lbs thinly sliced roast beef, I usually use leftover roast beef when I cook a roast, but I'm sure you could use deli roast beef.
I am a mom/graphic designer who doesn't mind cooking but can't ever come up with what to cook. This Week for Dinner(TM) is a place where we can share ideas for weekly menu planning. Every Sunday I post my weekly dinner plan. TWFD friends can then post their menus in the comments section, providing me (and everyone else) with fresh ideas every week! I also post other fun 'foodstuffs' throughout the week.

However, the website is meant to be a place to share ideas... please use any menu or recipe you wish! And share the site with friends. The more ideas the merrier!
